United States No.1 Amanda Sobhy advanced to the quarter-finals of the 2020-21 PSA World Championships presented by The Walter Family on home soil as she overcame Canada’s Hollie Naughton at the University Club of Chicago earlier today.
World No.7 Sobhy – from Boston – will line up in the quarter-finals of squash’s biggest tournament for the second time – and the first time since the 2015 edition – following an 11-5, 11-8, 8-11, 11-5 victory over close friend and World No.19 Naughton.
“Hollie has been getting some good results, and I don’t think we have played on the PSA Tour, so I knew that this would be a battle,” Sobhy said. ....

The Latrobe brewery once home to Rolling Rock beer in its classic green bottles is poised to lose another iconic local brew: Iron City Beer.
Pittsburgh Brewing Co. announced plans to make its popular lager at a former glass plant in East Deer. The company revealed late Wednesday it will move production from the City Brewing Co. plant in Latrobe to its own facility to be built at the shuttered PPG glass plant along the Allegheny River sometime next year. ....

U-Haul official cites desire to 'blend in' as La Crosse residents quiz him on old Kmart plans


LA CROSSE, Wis. U-Haul wants “to blend in with the city, not be against it,” a company official told participants in a virtual meeting Monday night who quizzed his plans for the vacant former Kmart building on the city’s South Side.
Up to 50 residents and city officials tuned in to the Bluffside Neighborhood Association meeting, raising concerns about the appearance, landscaping, lighting, potential traffic, and other issues if U-Haul buys the building at Losey Boulevard and State Road.
The building has been vacant since Kmart closed in 2017, and city officials, neighbors and new owners George Parke and Festival had hoped to find a buyer who would develop it into mixed-use of retail and residential with no takers. ....
