Readers would like more done to protect children, appreciate three kind strangers, suggest a great plan for Martyrs Park and fondly remember the late Rep. Ron Wright.
Homelessness encampments at Martyrs Park in downtown Dallas on Feb. 2, 2021. Dr. George Keaton, the head of Remembering Black Dallas, has been a leading voice in the effort to commemorate local victims of racial violence and feels strongly about putting the memorial in Martyrs Park. “This particular park in my opinion has been redlined just like the communities we live in,” Keaton said. “When will [the city] un-redline Martyrs Park?
