Nicki Masterson who stole Co-op sandwich give 10-week curfew

A woman was put on a 10-week curfew and told to pay £6 after taking  one bite of a Co-op sandwich .
Nicki Masterson, 23, of Kingsway, Earsham, Bungay, pleaded guilty to theft from a shop at Great Yarmouth Magistrates Court on January 6.
The court heard she stole a sandwich and a bottle of coke from the Bungay Co-op, consuming them in store before hiding empty wrappers on the shelves and leaving without payment.
Stacie Cossey, prosecuting, said Masterson was caught on CCTV , and had 59 offences across 30 convictions.
Richard Mann, mitigating, said Masterson understood she would have to compensate the supermarket, but argued the prosecution s request for £105 court costs was unreasonable. ....

Bob Burlingham charged with racially aggravated harassment

A man who harassed his neighbour and hurled racist abuse towards staff at a nearby kebab shop was spared prison after revealing he has 17 children who depend on him.
Robert Burlingham, 54, of London Road South, Lowestoft, was sentenced at Great Yarmouth Magistrates Court on January 6 over two incidents of racially aggravated intentional harassment on June 5 and June 9, 2020.
He pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing.
Stacie Cossey, prosecuting, said: On June 9, at 4.45pm, Mr Burlingham s neighbour called the police claiming he was swearing and being verbally abusive while standing on the steps of the Kings Kebab shop on Lowestoft Road South. ....
