A LONGSTANDING regimental researcher from Chester is among those who have been recognised in the New Year Honours List. Geoff Crump, who has volunteered at the city s Cheshire Military Museum for more than 40 years, has been awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) for services to military heritage. The 65-year-old said he was overwhelmed by the honour and described his role at the museum as a lifetime hobby . People from Tarporley, Malpas and Helsby have also been recognised in the Queen s New Year Honours, as well as Pauline Fielding, from Heswall, who has campaigned for road safety since her son died in a car crash in Neston 26 years ago. ....
