Both Valle Catholic High School boys’ basketball player Carter Hoog and Ste. Genevieve girls’ hoopster Sydney Bumgardaner received more accolades recently.
The Missouri Basketball Coaches Association named Carter Hoog to the all-state boys’ squad in Class 2.
“It’s much deserved, in my opinion,” Valle Catholic head coach Tyler Search said. “He has worked hard to improve over the last few years, and it’s great to see it pay off for him.”
Hoog, now the Warriors’ all-time leading scorer, was part of an elite group of players, which also included Crystal City’s Donovan Tullock. Hoog and Tullock put on a show at Valle Catholic during the Class 2 playoffs. ....
