President Biden during his tightly orchestrated press conference on March 25th was asked if we will get out of Afghanistan by May 1
st of this year. He obfuscated and muttered, “It is not my intention to stay there for a long time. We will leave. The question is when we leave.”

SND appoints Col Pobre as VFP President

QUEZON CITY, Jan. 15 Department of National Defense Secretary Delfin N. Lorenzana appointed veteran Col. Cesar P. Pobre (Ret) as the new Acting President of the Veterans Federation of the Philippines (VFP) effective on 04 January 2021.
The appointment came following the passing of the former VFP President, World War II veteran and retired Sandiganbayan Justice, Manuel R. Pamaran on 15 December 2020. As of the time of writing, the oath taking of Col. Pobre is yet to take place due to the constraints brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. One of Col. Pobre’s first action as Acting President was to preside over the first meeting of the VFP Executive Board for CY 2021 on 8 January 2021. ....
