In a publicized event July 18, the Cherokee Nation’s chief signed an agreement with the town of Verdigris that returns the lion’s share of traffic fines back to the municipality.
Cherokee Nation leaders tackled several topics including a high-court decision on the Indian Child Welfare Act as part of their monthly get-togethers June 19.
