On Thursday, 17 December, in the Presidential Palace, the President of the Republic of Slovenia and Commander-in-Chief of the Slovenian Armed Forces Borut Pahor promoted Chief of the General Staff of the Slovenian Armed Forces, Robert Glavaš, to the rank of Major General.
The president pointed out that this was a turning point in the career of every soldier, which was well deserved through hard work and good results. He noted that Chief of the General Staff had been a soldier and an officer ever since the beginnings of the Slovenian Armed Forces. As such, he is very well acquainted with all of its strongest points, but also with its weaknesses and shortcomings, which gives him the necessary competencies and at the same time obliges him to lead our armed forces towards the set goals in collaboration with other commanders. ....
