KUALA LUMPUR (March 15): The government has filed an appeal against the High Court s decision to annul the ban on the use of the word “Allah” by non-Muslims. Solicitor-General Datuk Abdul Razak Musa confirmed today that the notice of appeal was filed at the Court of Appeal on Friday (March 12). Yes, it has been filed,” Abdul Razak said when contacted by The Edge. He said senior federal counsel Shamsul Bolhassan filed the notice on behalf of the Malaysian government and Home Ministry. Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin - Bernama KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 19: The application by Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and the Government of Malaysia to strike out the originating summons by former Jasin parliamentary coordinator Datuk Seri Khairuddin Abu Hassan against them for their action of advising the Yang di-Pertuan Agong in declaring the COVID-19 emergency will be heard on April 12. Senior federal counsel Ahmad Hanir Hambaly said the application would be heard before High Court judge Datuk Seri Mariana Yahya. He was met after the case management today, which was also attended by Khairuddin’s lawyer Muhammad Rafique Rashid Ali.

Senior federal counsel Ahmad Hanir Hambaly said the application would be heard before High Court judge Datuk Seri Mariana Yahya. He was met after the case management today, which was also attended by Khairuddin’s lawyer Muhammad Rafique Rashid Ali. On Feb 17, Muhyiddin and the Government of Malaysia filed the application to strike out the suit on grounds that it was frivolous, trivial, troublesome and an abuse of the court process.
