LONDON: The son of former Prosecutor General of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Farouk Adam Khan has said that he worked with Broadsheet-linked Orchard Solicitors in London for work experience in 2000 but it was under a work internship scheme and didn’t receive monetary benefits from the law firm.
Omer Farouk Adam, a retired Pakistan Navy officer, told The News and Geo that he did an internship with Orchard Solicitors “but there was nothing secret about it and the internship was without monetary benefits”.
He said: “It was a regular limited period internship undertaken with many other law students.”

Court papers confirm that Farouk Adam Khan was at the centre of the Broadsheet Agreement.
Farouk Adam Khan was prosecutor general of NAB from November 1999 to November 2000.
The former senior NAB official said that his health was in a bad state in 2010 when he submitted his first affidavit.
LONDON: The prosecutor general of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), who drafted the Broadsheet Agreement, first told the London High Court’s arbitration judge in August 2010 that Nawaz Sharif and his associates owned “ill-begotten assets” of around $1 billion, but five years later in July 2015, he took a U-turn and told the same court that the figures quoted in his 2010 affidavit were speculative and “based on rumour and gossip”, according to court papers.

LONDON: The Broadsheet LLC did absolutely nothing to bring back the looted assets to Pakistan, lied and exaggerated.
Former NAB Prosecutor General Farouk Adam Khan’s son secretly worked for a Broadsheet partner and the Broadsheet agreement was signed without approval from the relevant ministers.
Broadsheet used the info provided by NAB to make claims on the “targets” without any results, said NAB’s former chairman General (retd) Syed Amjad, who signed the contract with the Broadsheet LLC on behalf of the State of Pakistan/NAB.
This correspondent has seen hundreds of pages of correspondence between NAB and Trouvons (which later turned into Broadsheet LLC, Isle of Man), court documents and General Amjad’s testimony before Sir Anthony Evans, the arbitration judge at the London High Court, who found that the Pakistan government criminally conspired to defraud Broadsheet LLC through contractual violations.
