Budget 2021: Revitalizing rural health facilities
A $50-million commitment from Alberta’s government will modernize and improve rural health facilities across the province to ensure all Albertans have access to top-quality health services.

The Rural Health Facilities Revitalization Fund is supporting upgrades and renovation projects in Alberta Health Services’ hospitals and facilities, including emergency departments, sterilization and medical device reprocessing areas, pharmacies, EMS stations, ambulance garages and medical laboratories.

Alta. plans to create 90,000 jobs through 2021 capital plan


 
EDMONTON
Government officials on Monday expanded on the province s capital plan released late last month.
Alberta s 2021 Capital Plan will spend nearly $21 billion until 2024 and create 90,000 jobs. 
The plan includes just over $800 million for new infrastructure, such as 14 school projects and five health projects.
“As we continue to protect Albertans from COVID-19, we are focused on protecting livelihoods by planning ahead, creating jobs and preparing for recovery through our multibillion-dollar Capital Plan. These record investments are a key part of the Alberta Recovery Plan to build, diversify, and create new jobs, Premier Jason Kenney said.
Alberta s Recovery Plan includes $468 million for the Calgary Cancer Centre, $246 million for the Gene Zwozdesky Centre and $1.2 billion for 62 previously announced school projects across the province. ....
