NCOC opens walk-in vaccinations for citizens aged 18 and above from June 11
ISLAMABAD:
The National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) decided on Wednesday to slightly relax restrictions, put in place to curb the spread of Covid-19 during the third wave of the virus in the country, from June 15 onwards.
The country s anti-Covid nerve centre also announced opening walk-in vaccinations for citizens aged 18 and above from June 11 (Friday).
The decisions were taken during a special session chaired by NCOC chief Asad Umar and co-chaired by National Coordinator Lt Gen Hamood uz Zaman Khan.
Restrictions
Taking a comprehensive review of the vaccination process and implementation of Covid SOPs (NPIs), the NCOC decided to relax the restriction on two-day a week closure of businesses to one day - the choice of day will be at the discretion of the federating units. ....

Walk-in vaccination facility to all citizens above 18 will be open starting Friday, the National Command and Operation Centre announced on Wednesday.
From 11th June onwards 18 years+ citizens will be able to avail the walk-in facility in vaccination centres, said the forum, in a statement.
The statement followed a meeting of the NCOC, chaired by Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives and co-chaired by National Coordinator Lt Gen Hamood uz Zaman Khan.
The forum undertook a comprehensive review of the vaccination process and implementation of Covid safety measures. ....

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Wednesday announced an easing of a number of coronavirus curbs tourism among them after mobility-limiting restrictions during prolonged Eid holidays brought down the tally of daily cases to a level deemed encouraging by the government.
Before the National Command and Operation Centre’s (NCOC) decisions were announced in a press release, Minister for Planning, Asad Umar, cautioned to reporters that there were still more than 4,500 critical patients receiving oxygen in hospitals across the country.
The decision comes as 104 more people died of Covid in the 24 hours leading to Wednesday, while 3,256 people tested positive. The tally of active infections stands at 66,377. According to NCOC data, 4,994 patients were admitted across the country, 567 of whom were on ventilators. Pakistan has so far registered a total of 886,184 cases and 19,856 deaths. ....
