But while a snow day would normally mean the thrill of meeting up with a gang of friends for a day of snowball fights and sledding, this is 2020, and even building a snowman comes with some restrictions. Vanessa Lucas’s twin 15-year-old sons, Sam and Lewis, had to make do with enlisting their parents in a day of sledding when they woke up to ten centimetres of snow on Monday morning. “They couldn’t do the usual thing of getting a group together and saying let’s all go sledding, abandon parents and go off for the day enjoying it, but they’ve had good fun all the same,” she said. ....
