How it happened
According to the police, the teenager, identified as Gemara Ram Meghwal, was in a relationship with a girl who lives near his house in Sajjan Ka Paar village within the territorial limits of Bijrad police station, near the India-Pakistan border. On the intervening night of November 4 last year, he tried to secretly enter his girlfriend’s house to meet her. The girl’s parents, however, caught him. They threatened to inform his family about it. After this, Meghwal, fearing infamy, crossed into Pakistani territory. What followed was a futile search for him by his family members for over 11 days. ....

The parents of the teenager s girlfriend threatened him after they caught him trying to sneak into their house on the intervening night of November 4 last year.
