PARIS The Oxford County Commission did not need the full six months to evaluate the performance of interim County Administrator Donald Durrah.
The former head of the Oxford County Regional Communications Center in Paris has demonstrated in his five months as acting head of the county the ability to build relationships, set priorities, foster a teamwork approach and solve problems. During his tenure he helped ease the county out of pandemic restrictions and directed the effort to deorganize Magalloway to become an unorganized territory.

PARIS Donald Durrah, director of the Oxford County Regional Communications Center, will also oversee all county government starting Monday.
Commissioners on Thursday appointed Durrah as interim county administrator for the next six months.
Durrah, 47, of Lewiston, will fill both positions.
He replaces Tom Winsor of Norway, who stepped down last year.
“This was something I was looking at doing,” Durrah said of his new responsibility.”I have a deputy director who I work closely with. We’ve come up with a plan that will allow me to wear two hats. The team that I have is amazing.”
