South jersey student was sitting in class when her phone became so hot it actually scorched through her notebook. The girl spoke only to our Natasha Brown about what happened. Holding it just like this. And them once my tee which are started screaming, i drop it just like that. She dropped her phone in class a few weeks ago and what happened when she pick it up was anything but expected. Happened when she pick it up was anything but expected. It was kind of like jumping a little in my hand because like literally the entire screen came up and it was just everywhere like it sizzled. My entire classroom filled with smoke. Reporter the 17yearold junior at Cherry Hill High School west dropped the phone on her notebook. You can still see the scorched pages. It burned through like 30 pages of my notebook. It was so hot. Reporter Cherry Hill Fire Department responded evacuating the school. They posted this image of the burned phone on their Facebook Page urging people to contact fire officials if this ever happens to their phone. Rarely over the course of my college career have I cried.
Not that there haven t been moments that have called for it, and not that it hasn t been beneficial when I have.
On the contrary, I should do it more.
And so in writing this senior column, one which will likely be my last mark left on a place that has left such an indelible mark on me, I m heeding my own advice.
