Kuemper at OABCIG- Class 2A District 1  OABCIG: 79 Kuemper: 63 The Kuemper Knights were able to go toe to toe with the 19-1 OABCIG Falcons in the Substate 1 quarter final match, but fell short in the fourth quarter on Thursday night. The hometown Falcons would start off the contest with a huge 25 point performance, thanks to Cooper DeJean, who scored 11 points in the first quarter. The Knights would see some early success from the three point line, sinking three from behind the arc and scoring 14 points in the first quarter. The second quarter is where the Knights started to come alive and get back in this contest. The Knights were able to be brought to the free throw line a total of four times making seven of their eight free throws. Mayhall would be fouled as time expired by DeJean and would make the two free throws to end the second quarter and cut down the Falcon’s 10 point lead to six at 38-32.

Audubon Boys Finish Regular Season With Win; Carroll and SCC Win Big Tuesday Night; Full Scoreboard Recap

  The Carroll Tigers were able to add another win to their impressive season with a strong showing against the Carlisle Wildcats. The Tigers would start off the battle of the big cats with a closer than expected first quarter with the Tigers taking a 19-13 lead. The six point Carroll lead would turn into 16 by halftime at 38-22. Kaleb Booth would lead the Tigers with nine first half points.    The points would continue to come and the defense would get stronger for the Tigers in the second half. They would keep the Wildcats to seven third quarter points while they packed on 17 points in the third. The Tigers would have a closer fourth quarter as their bench players would get some playing time. The Tigers would still come out on top in the fourth quarter going 19-16 and winning this contest 74-45.

Carroll, CRB, SCC, ESC Boys Win Tuesday, AWV, Kuemper and Paton Churdan Fall

  Kuemper nearly evened their record at 3-3 heading into the break but saw it slip to 2-4 overall as St Albert edged away in the 4 th quarter outscoring the Knights 20-11. The Knights hung tough early down but 1 after the 1 st quarter and down 9 at half. They quickly changed that with a dominating 3 rd quarter and were up 5 heading into the final stanza. Kuemper shot the ball well from inside the arc hitting on 47.4% of their shots but only shot 10 for 31 from behind the arc with John Mayhall knocking down 5 and Mitchell Badding having 4 made threes. John Mayhall led Kuemper with 21 points, Mitchell Badding added 16 points and 8 rebounds. Isaac Evans also scored in double figures with 11 points. Dawson Edwards handed out 5 assists.

Carroll High, ESC, AWV, SCC Boys Won on Friday Local Teams Went 4-4

  The Carroll Tigers showed a lot of resolve on Friday night as they struggled early on the defensive end which hindered their offense and they found themselves behind the 3 rd ranked Ballard Bombers in a battle of number 2 vs number 3. Carroll didn’t want to get beat inside and the Ballard guards came out shooting the ball well. As all good teams do the Tigers adjusted at halftime and rallied in the 4 th quarter to take the lead late on a bucket by Kaleb Booth. The Bombers hit a shot to tie the game and then had a chance to win it but the shot didn’t go and the game went to overtime.
