Opinion: Solutions to the rapid increase in crime

The Biden Administration’s message on cyberattacks and the apparent quick response from the Russians per new ransomware attacks should be of considerable concern for America.  The rash of gang-related killings of predominately Black youth and children in our inner cities should be of grave concern for all Americans. Our immigration problem at the border is disconcerting as well.  Lastly, a president who in the latest polling by the Washington Post/ABC, is only at 50% approval and would be underwater were it not for his overwhelming Black support, should be of concern. ....

It has been followed recently by cyberattacks against a large food processing company, a subway system and other smaller public services and businesses. Over the years hundreds of millions of dollars have been paid in cyber ransom incidents. ....

G.W. Petteway knew education would change life for Black people
During Black History Month, I frequently think about my great-grandfather who was born a slave in North Carolina in 1834. I think of how he made education such a vital part of his life, as he was allowed to read when reading was against the law for most Blacks. He shared the word of the Bible with the community, and founded the first school in the area for newly freed slaves.
