Plans for a seven-story building in Harrisburg near the new Federal Courthouse building are moving forward but with a smaller footprint for a planned grocery store.
Previous plans for the building called for a 23,000-square-foot grocery store but now call for a smaller grocery store that would be 7,500 to 8,500 square feet.
“That will be tenant driven,” Developer Kevin Laird said. “So, If we need to make, you know, more space available we can. But the indications that we are getting early on in the market are you know are 10,000 to 7,000 square feet … . That reality enabled us to say hey you know if we could shrink down the footprint of the grocery store then we can we use the extra space to create access from Fifth Street and Fulton Street. That’s what was driving that.” ....
