SUPPORT: Sellafield s Gary McKeating praised the project A NEW programme aiming to bring benefits and support to charities in west Cumbria has been launched. Bedrock is a new project from Cumbria Community Foundation and Sellafield, focusing on building the resilience, capabilities and financial sustainability of charities and community organisations in west Cumbria. Part of the new project is an awards programme, which will provide funding and consultancy support to help develop a number of charities in the area further. Bedrock will also offer advice and support to the sector, delivered by third sector support network Cumbria CVS. The project forms part of the initial three-year Transforming West Cumbria social investment initiative, funded through Sellafield Ltd’s social impact multiplied programme.
