Pedestrian killed in Barbur Boulevard crash Clayton Chamberlin, 66, struck while crossing road in wheelchair in Southwest Portland A man has died from injuries sustained after being struck in a crosswalk along Barbur Boulevard in Southwest Portland. Portland Police Bureau responded to an injury traffic incident in the 3000 block of Southwest Barbur Boulevard at 8:33 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16. Officers said when they arrived on scene, they determined a single vehicle struck a pedestrian who was using a wheelchair to cross the road that night against the crosswalk signal. The person struck was later identified as Clayton Chamberlin, 66. Medical personnel [were] called to the scene and began attempting lifesaving measures on the pedestrian, a PPB press release states. The pedestrian was rushed to an area hospital but later succumbed to their injuries. ....
