Torfaen Play Service holds Easter play sessions for children

The play activities delivered at the camps focused on the five ways to wellbeing which encourage children to: Connect, Give, Take Notice, Keep Learning and Be Active.
The six Play and Wellbeing camps were held at Blaenavon Heritage School, George Street Primary, Nant Celyn Primary, Garnteg Primary, Blenheim Community Primary and Llantarnam Community Primary.
Pupils were identified to attend the provisions through working in partnership with headteachers, social care and the Inclusion Team.
Playworker Justin Johnson said: “We thoroughly enjoy delivering the Play and Wellbeing Sessions to the children on the camps. The children get so much out of it. ....

MORE than 120 vulnerable children attended play and wellbeing camps through half term across Torfaen.
Torfaen Play worked in partnership with Torfaen Sports Development to deliver the camps, which ran activities linked to the ‘five ways to wellbeing’, which encourage children to connect, give, take notice, keep learning, and be active.
More than 30 playworkers and five sports development workers came together to deliver the sessions.
The camps were held at Blaenavon Heritage School, George Street Primary, Garnteg Primary, Blenheim Community Primary, and Llantarnam Community Primary. ....

Local schools, including Cwmffrwdoer Primary, Garnteg Primary, Blaenavon Heritage VC Primary and Abersychan Comp will be involved with the service, as will Gwent Brass Band and other local choirs. There will also be a special performance from an Elvis tribute act.
This year, Noddfa Church has partnered with Victory Church in Blaenavon to organise the event. The night will raise money for the Daniel Jones Fund at Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent Mind, and a donation link will be provided on the stream on Sunday.
