Oriole Park to lift capacity restrictions starting June 1

Capacity restrictions at Oriole Park at Camden Yards will be lifted starting June 1, the team announced Thursday.The Baltimore Orioles said in consultation with the city, state and the Maryland Stadium Authority, the Orioles will no longer operate under capacity restrictions beginning June 1.The team also announced that tickets for all remaining home games, including June through September, will go on sale at noon Wednesday.The Orioles will offer a special, two-hour online presale to fans who are subscribed to the free digital Orioles Insider Newsletter, beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday. To receive an invitation for the exclusive presale, fans can sign up for Orioles Insider at Orioles.com/Newsletter.Social distancing will no longer be required between groups of ticket holders. Maryland will relax some COVID-19 restrictions later this week, Gov. Larry Hogan announced Tuesday. The governor urged continued vigilance, saying: Over the last few weeks, as we marked one year of grappling with this deadly virus, many of us have been recalling our lasts the last time we ate inside a restaurant, the last time we celebrated a big occasion with family and friends, the last time we went to a ballgame, the last time we took a family vacation. In the weeks and months ahead, with continued vigilance, together we will instead begin to mark new firsts. Everything won t look exactly the same just yet, and we do need to continue to do the things that keep us safe, but there can be no doubt that we are closer to that light at the end of the tunnel and a return to some sense of normalcy in our lives.
