Hard luck to the U-15s boys football team who lost their Connacht A semi final to Clarin College. An outstanding strike from Lee Lydon (Galway United ) had put Merlin ahead going into the break. It was Clarin College who would have the better of the second half though, they equalised early in the second half and showed great determination to score a late winner on the day when the game seemed destined for extra time. This Merlin team showed unbelievable skill, strength and resilience on a cold wet day and the school could not be prouder of their achievements.
