"Make Others See", a one-person exhibition of sculpture by Harriett Davis Cortez, opens 6-9 p.m., Saturday, June 11, at the Second Story Gallery in the Healing Center, 2372 St. Claude Ave.  The show’s title comes from a quote by Edgas Degas, “Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.”  Cortez uses found objects and eccentric materials in her mixed media, conceptual sculpture, with the goal of creating subjective dialogs, often unique to each viewer.
