The Haryana government has started work on Phase 1 of the Global City project in Gurugram, which will include residential and commercial spaces with modern infrastructure. The first phase will be completed by December 2026 and will cost ₹940 crore. The project will cover 1,000 acres and will feature commercial towers, offices, retail spaces, hospitals, schools, and a transportation system. HSIIDC will operate and maintain the Global City until 2033, with maintenance charges to be recovered from allottees after that. The government has also increased HSIIDC s working capital limit by ₹1,500 crore.
