Reviewed by Stella Redburn CFNI is a Bible college in Dallas and their Worship and Technical Arts majors ran this live event, featuring their in-house worship director Gabriel Allred, a selection of musicians, a huge student choir and a worshipping audience. There are 10 songs, seven of which are originals. The album reflects perfectly the cutting edge of commercial Christian worship, consisting of several powerful rock anthems interspersed with some more reflective pieces. The opening number, Deep Cries Out , led by Allred, is very powerful and whets your appetite for the worship to come. The title track, written and led by Andrew Meek, is also a strong song with good dynamic contrast so that you can hear the choir over the drums-only section. All the tracks are brilliant for congregation and although I love the energy of dance tracks like Nowhere Better sung by Alex Bennefield, still there is room for the more introspective songs longing for deeper intimacy with God, li ....
