jackie. you can see where the severe storms are hitting the united states. there have been a couple watches in places. even yesterday as i was in south carolina, watches all over that state. this is a new storm system. it s a vigorous one. something with this much energy for nighttime tornadoes is somewhat unusual. this is a rare event. it s particularly dangerous. we call it a pds watch. a lot of that because of the storm risk we have. there s a high level of certainty to have multiple tornadoes. some could be large and stay on the ground for a long period of time. the other thing that makes this dangerous is that this is happening at night. people are going to bed. you can t see what s going on. so you could be sleeping when the storms come on through. there you can see the watch area. eastern parts of arkansas and western tennessee. northern parts of alabama and even into the boot heel of missouri. the thunderstorms are initiating just to the west of little rock. t ....

News that the transfer of gabbi from the university medical center in tucson is hear to memorial hermann went flawlessly. the trip was well planned. i asked mark if i could share with you when we were traveling through the streets of tucson. there was several times we could hear applause in the ambulance with gabbi. she responded very well to that, smiling and tearing up a little bit. it was very emotional and very special. she looks spectacular. and always from a neurological point of view first, she came into the icu, and she was alert, awake, calm, she looked comfortable. i think we were already feeling some interaction, which is important. she s got very good movement on the left side of her body. ....
i have a lot of hope for her. i know she s going to do great. she s a very strong woman. i m happy to share with you my exact words were gabbi, i m proud to say i voted for you before, and i ll vote for you again. she smiled. reporter: now, the real hope here is to be able to move giffords out of the intensive care unit where she is now and into the hospital behind me, which is a rehabilitation hospital. but they can t do that for at least they say, early next week. they re going to reassess. but she s not going anywhere for at least several days. wolf? it is an amazing recovery, though. everybody agrees on that, right, elizabeth? oh, everybody does agree on that. to have a bullet wound to the head and do this well. they certainly see that happen with other patients. but they re so glad to see so much progress so soon. we wish her only the best. a very speedy recovery. with the tucson tragedy in mind, police in massachusetts have seized a dozen weapons from a blogger. ....
