COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic to be Held at Love Elementary Thursday The Chautauqua County Health Department is holding a community vaccination clinic at Love Elementary School this Thursday. The clinic is for anyone 18 years of age and older and will be able to accommodate walk-in’s. It takes place Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Jamestown Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Kevin Whitaker said there will be Spanish translators on hand at the clinic. JPS, the County, United Way of Southern Chautauqua County, G-Health Enterprises and local Hispanic pastors had all collaborated to create videos to reach the Spanish-speaking population in Chautauqua County. ....
[email protected] Several COVID-19 vaccination clinics are taking place this week in Chautauqua County, providing several opportunities for those looking to get the previously coveted shots. The abundance of doses come as 43,083 county residents have completed their vaccination series, according to the state’s online tracker, along with 51,997 who have received at least one shot. There are clinics scheduled every day this week, including today at the Jamestown Community College campus in Jamestown. The clinic will utilize the Moderna vaccine, and will run from 6:30-11:30 a.m. On Wednesday, Brooks Memorial Hospital, 529 Central Ave., Dunkirk, will host the first of two clinics this week. Those who sign up will receive the Pfizer vaccine. Thanks to the combined efforts of Dr. Raul Vazquez, president of Buffalo’s G-Health Enterprises, and J.C. Seneca, owner of Native Pride Travel Plaza, vaccinations were made more accessible. On Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Native Pride Travel Plaza provided 400 vaccines for eligible individuals, including truck drivers and motorists who frequent Native Pride, as well as Natives from the Allegany and Cattaraugus Territories and residents from the surrounding communities. The push for truck stops to host vaccination centers is something Seneca is very passionate about, and hosting it at his location gives him a sense of pride. ....
