青岛能源所基于大数据引擎绘制全球微生物组转化网络-半岛网

据介绍，人类和哺乳动物的演化历程，可通过各种地质年代遗留下来的化石及其中蕴含的古DNA来揭示。但是在漫长的时光旅程中，各种生态系统中菌群演化与互作的痕迹往往已湮灭殆尽。因此，如何从全球尺度上重现与理解微生物组间的演化途径和互作过程，一直悬而未决。
针对这个关键问题，青岛能源所荆功超和青岛大学张玉凤等组成的研究小组提出一个理论模型：微生物组可通过改变其内诸多物种的组合和数量比例等方式相互转化，以适应各种生存环境与选择压力。因此，微生物组的演化与互作等关系，能基于其结构相似性进行推测。
基于这个模型，研究人员运用前期开发的微生物组搜索引擎（MSE; http://mse.ac.cn），基于微生物组结构的相似性高低，构建了首个全球性的“微生物组相互转化网络”(Microbiome Transition Network; MTN)。该全局� ....
