Pavilion Energy imports Singaporeâs premiere carbon neutral LNG cargo

Pavilion Energy Trading & Supply Pte. Ltd. (Pavilion Energy) on Thursday (15 April) said it imported a carbon neutral (liquified natural gas) LNG cargo into Singapore â the first for Singapore and Pavilion Energy.
Carbon emissions associated with the LNG cargo from well-to-tank including the extraction, production, transportation, and regasification will be offset by retiring a corresponding amount of high-quality carbon credits sourced from its portfolio of carbon offset projects.
The carbon credits used for the offset are from Natural Climate Solutions projects certified under the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and Climate, Community and Biodiversity Standard (CCB) – Evio Kuinaji EseâEja Cuana in Peru and Liangdu Afforestation in China.

Singapore Awards 3rd LNG Bunkering Licence
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has awarded a third LNG bunkering licence, to France s Total for a five-year term starting January 1, 2022, it said on February 26.
Total will join FueLNG and Pavilion Energy as a licensed LNG bunkering provider at the port of Singapore. MPA invited bids from new bunkering candidates in October last year.
“Total Marine Fuels Private Limited is a global LNG supplier and an experienced operator providing end-to-end LNG bunkering solutions that will complement the existing two licensees – FueLNG Pte Ltd and Pavilion Energy Singapore Pte Ltd – to drive demand and grow LNG bunkering volumes in Singapore,” MPA said.

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has awarded a third LNG bunker supplier licence to Total Marine Fuels Private Limited for a five-year term starting 1 January 2022.
Total Marine Fuels Private Limited is a global LNG supplier and an experienced operator providing end-to-end LNG bunkering solutions that will complement the existing two licensees – FueLNG Pte Ltd and Pavilion Energy Singapore Pte Ltd – to drive demand and grow LNG bunkering volumes in Singapore.
In planning ahead to meet the region’s growing demand for LNG as a marine fuel, MPA issued a Request for Proposal on 28 October 2020 for parties seeking to supply LNG bunker in the Port of Singapore. LNG is a clean marine fuel that reduces the emission of nitrogen oxides and greenhouse gases, while generating minimal sulfur and particulate emissions. Singapore currently has an LNG bunker supply capacity of up to one million tpy.
