enforcement are on the scene, a man hunt is underway. casey stegall is joining us by phone, he rushed to the site of this shooting reunification site in arlington, texas. casey, give us some sense of what it has been like for parents as they reunite with their children who were in the school at the time of the shooting. casey: you can imagine. i just spoke with a guy literally a few minutes ago, he said his daughter is a sophomore. he was parking in the parking lot because the traffic is so bad. he was going to hoof it to the performing arts center. not far, just a stones throw away from the high school itself. that has been identified as the official reunification center and that is where once the official all-clear is given and the students are able to board the buses and leave the property, they will be brought to this location so they can be reuniified with their parents. they want to put the right kids with the right people after a security incident like this. they wou

As far as stories we re hearing, casey, reminder, we are seeing students reunited with parents, they were under two-hour lockdown. this are stories emerging of student barricading doors, stacking chairs and desks behind their classroom doors, are you hearing more storiess like that and what the students went through for two hours there was an active shooter situation? casey: the same stuff you you have heard, the same stuff we hear unfortunately as other incidents like this play out. an active shooter is declared, be it military installation, movie theater, a school, shopping center, we have really seen it all. you hear those stories of people talking about gunshots and
Our police department responded promptly, were able to set up perimeter, secure the school, have the school lockdown and ensure the individual wasn t on campus and began to safely transport the students away from the school to get them reunited with their families. every school district is a little bit different. mansfield independent school district has their own police department. i think we are blessed in the fact they had such a great response and connection with the arlington police department. we had their surrounding community, mansfield police, grand prairie police, arlington and i spoke with governor greg abbott, who sent in texas state troopers to help out in locating this individual. sandra: mayor, as far as what we know about the suspect, we be his age, what we may be driving, we have that on the screen. authorities are asking anybody
