What have they been doing overnight . Treating some roads that still have icy spots from yesterdays light burst of snow they received in portions of madison. Highways 212 208 in Shelton Laurel are specific roads they have paid special attention to overnight. 3 3 3 we have new details in a suspicious death case that is now a murder investigation. 29yearold james norton is charged with firstdegree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon. The body of 62yearold Christina Kessinger was found friday afternoon along central avenue. We have started to see those just within the last 30 minutes. They are starting to pick up a little bit. I checked in with dispatcher, too, in the northern mountain counties like mitchell and yancey, just within the past 15 minutes, they are starting to see flurries in the burnsville area of Yancey County. So, folks there will begin to see wintry weather moving in. Mitchell county told me they heart the dot trucks running through the night there as well because they have had issues with icy roads in the area as well. Thats why you see the dot crews standing ready to go.
