Incumbents triumph in all local education races, final results show
The final results are in, and incumbents swept all of the local education races.
The County of Santa Clara Registrar of Voters Office last week formally certified the results of the Nov. 3 election.
Incumbent Grace Mah (53,033 votes, 52%) beat Melissa Baten Caswell (48,947 votes, 48%) for the local seat on the Santa Clara County Board of Education. The typically relatively obscure race generated more than $500,000 in campaign contributions.
Incumbents Sanjay Dave (25,650 votes, 34.96%) and Phil Faillace (24,562 votes, 33.47%) won re-election over challenger Laura Teksler (23,168 votes, 31.57%) for two seats on the five-member Mountain View Los Altos Union High School District Board of Trustees. ....
