A proposed wind project in Fremont and Speaker Townships has stirred controversy regarding an increased height allowance from 500 feet to 700 feet. Turbines of this height were recently installed in Huron County. Two Vestas V162 wind turbines can be seen here, and are located on Kinde Road, west of Port Hope, in Huron County.
