Indonesia s Department of Public Health has bestowed its highest recognition to PT Freeport Indonesia for its workplace protocols and efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in the Mimika Regency of Papua, Indonesia, where Freeport-McMoRan’s Grasberg mining complex is located.
In addition to prevention efforts, PT Freeport Indonesia continues to assist in the care of COVID-19 patients in Mimika. The company has allowed facilities such as the Mimika Sports Complex and its Athletes Dormitories to be used as an isolation ward for patients in quarantine in Timika. ....
