Robert Gould Macintire passed away on his 87th birthday Friday, March 26, 2021. He was born March 26, 1934, in Lewes, son of the late Howard Franklin and Fredonia (White) Macintire.
Bob loved everything about Lewes. His ancestors settled in Lewes in the 1600s from Holland. John Clowes, one of his ancestors and a lawyer who lived in Milton, was an officer in the Revolutionary War.
Bob was a Delaware River & Bay Pilot for 39 years. His other love was bees, and he was a Master Beekeeper and a lifetime member of the Eastern Apicultural Society. Bob was also a former president of the Sussex County Chapter as well as a Mason for over 50 years with the Jefferson Lodge of Lewes.  ....
