Lt Col Elaine Sue Houser
Sue Houser, passed away peacefully at the age of 71, on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Amita St. Joseph Medical Center. Sue was born on June 16, 1949, the daughter of the late Ralph and Phyllis (nee Ness) Houser. She was raised and educated in Chicago, IL and Alma Center WI, and was a graduate of South Shore High School and received her Nursing Degree from South Chicago Community Hospital and was a proud graduate of the University of Iowa.

Sue was a proud decorated Veteran of the United States Air Force Reserves. She was a Flight Nurse and Air Reserve Technician with the 63rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron at the 928th Airlift Wing, O Hare Air Reserve Forces Facility. Sue rose to the rank of Lt Col retiring with twenty years of faithful service. Her awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with Valor, Combat Readiness Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Na ....

Jerry L. Smith, age 71, of Channahon, IL, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2021 at Amita St. Joseph Medical, Joliet, IL.

Jerry graduated from Rapid City High School in South Dakota in 1967. His love of athletics led to his becoming a three-year letterman in both track and football, but his true love was baseball. He began playing in Rapid City Little Leagues and Pony Leagues advancing all the way to Rapid City American Legion Post 22 team during his high school years. In 2007, Jerry was inducted into the Rapid City Post 22 Baseball Hall of Fame.
Jerry went on to attend Southern Illinois University where he continued to play baseball. Several of those SIU teams advanced to the College World Series. He graduated in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. ....

She was the daughter of Lillie (Gunderson) and Fred Lynes and sister to nine brothers and sisters.

Bette was married to Mitchell D. Nelson and in later years to Richard M. Rice. She has five children, Stephen P. Walsh of Florida, Terry D. Nelson of Morris, Darryl E. and David P. Rice of Arizona and one daughter, Marilyn K. (Rice) Hale of Virginia. She was also the grandmother of many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Bette was born and raised in Morris and graduated with the class of 1952 from Morris Community High School. ....
