Corey Davis and
Vincent Sawyer recently were hired as lawyers for
Neighborhood Preservation Inc., an organization that promotes neighborhood revitalization by collaboratively developing practical and sustainable resolutions to blighted properties and to the systems that lead to widespread neglect, vacancy and abandonment of real estate. It focuses on policy advocacy and implementing/documenting replicable comprehensive neighborhood improvement projects. Davis is a staff attorney and started his work on the chronic nuisance ordinance. He s also involved on an ongoing project to replace a dilapidated house with a mini park in the Vollintine-Evergreen neighborhood. Sawyer is involved with community partners to improve the living conditions of residents in distressed and underserved neighborhoods through anti-blight interventions, neighborhood maintenance, community development efforts, legal research and analysis through the Shelby County Environmental Court.
