Furtado, who had been the organization’s executive vice president and director of real estate before being elected by the board of directors, success the late Rosemary Heard, longtime top executive of the organization, who died Dec. 28 During his tenure at CATCH – which began in February 2017 as senior vice president – he has directed the organization’s building projects and overseen management of its properties, which provide affordable housing to residents across Merrimack County. ....

Rosemary Heard: A ‘fearless leader’ for affordable housing Rosemary Heard of CATCH Neighborhood Housing died from a sudden illness at the age of 60. Courtesy CATCH Neighborhood Housing celebrated its 25th anniversary June 17 at Bektash Shriner’s Hall in Concord. Over 200 people attended, including founding and current board members, current residents of CATCH properties, donors, volunteers, community members and friends. CATCH is a non-profit organization that provides affordable homes in Merrimack County. (Photo by Jodie Andruskevich) Rosemary Heard of Sandwich, who as the longtime president of Concord-based CATCH Neighborhood Housing was one of the state’s leading advocates for and implementers of projects to aid Granite Staters facing housing insecurity, died Dec. 28 at age 60. Born in Killarney, Ireland, in 1960, she moved to the United States in the 1980s, settling in Boston and eventually working as an executive for several years at MassDevelopment, the Bay State’s economic development agency, before joining the nonprofit CATCH as president and CEO in 2006. ....
