The one im reading right now is the new book on the history of the vietnam war from 1945 to 1975. It is terrific. Im not yet finished with it, but im getting close and it is just gripping. A lot of it is also pulled from the vietnamese plaintiffs view of what it was like on the other side during this horrific war. Very critical both of communist tactics as well as american and french tactics during this period in the war but it is terrific history. If people want to understand what happened, this is the one volume to read. Its just a great book and brilliantly written, necessary history if you are a history buff at all.
