The World War Two Weekend returns to the Reading Regional Airport this year after taking a year off because of COVID-19. The Mid-Atlantic Air Museum’s Annual World War II Weekend and “Gathering of Warbirds” is one of the largest events of its type in the world. The show is set for June 4-5-6, 2021 and it is expected to host historic vehicles and aircraft as well as hundreds of re-enactors. Mid-Atlantic Air Museum will hold its 30th World War II Weekend in June. The three-day exhibition on the grounds of the Reading Regional Airport in Bern Township was canceled last year due to the coronavirus pandemic. The event draws aviation enthusiasts and history buffs from around the world to commemorate the war and honor those who served. About two dozen World War II veterans will share firsthand accounts of their war experiences and will be available for autographs. - Advertisement - The weekend will feature flight demonstrations performed by authentic World War II aircraft.
