Fred was a longtime running back coach at michigan, and hes a great guy. A tremendous father, and we have children. Theres no better moment than seeing your child grow up and win for his team, because we said, these two quarterbacks had to grow up. I think we saw two good football teams tonight. Im impressed with grier. He came back and played well. This is why you love College Football. So much fun. Its amazing, when you have a quarterback, started out slow. Tonight in delaware, prisoners are Still Holding guards hostage inside a state prison. The hostage situation has been going on for 12 hours. Chris lawrence starts us off at the live desk with new information from delaware. Chris . Jim, doreen, officials are using one of the guards radios to negotiate with the inmates. They let two hostages go but two other corrections workers are still inside. Weve put all the resources we have to bear to get our employees out. Dozens of Police Vehicles are surrounding the prison in smyrna, delaware, 90 miles east of dc. The siege started when a corrections officer radioed for immediate assistance and sounded the alarm for a major disturbance. Delaware immediately put all its prisoners in lockdown. The hostages, one injured and taken to the hospital. A newspaper said it received two calls from inmates, who said they started the revolt because ....
Among many other issues that they want to see reformed. Two of the hostages were released one in the last few hours and we do know at least one of the hostages had non lifethreatening injuries. Hes recoughing at a hospital. Several Law Enforcement agencies are here including fbi. All are hoping for a peaceful resolution. Its been a long and difficult day. What started shortly after 10 wednesday morning and still is a touch and go situation. A hostage standoff between ceks officers and inmates at the james Vaughn Correction Center and the call came in reporting emergency shortly after 10. Approximately 14 25 first staff member was released. And approximately 17 20 hours eight inmates were released. And 19 57 hours one staff member was released. And thats prior to our arrival the takeover happened when more than 100 inmates over powered four corrections officers. Del ....
