Francisco “Kiko” Diaz, dean of UP College of Human Kinetics, bared that four major venues in Diliman, Quezon City are soon to be available for the league, which is currently on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Under construction are the baseball/softball stadium, the football pitch, the track oval around the field, and UP’s swimming pool.
Diaz said the baseball/softball stadium is at par with the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila while the football pitch is actually finished around two years ago.
“What remains to be completed is the track oval around the football pitch and nabitin lang nang kaunti ‘yong construction but we’re in the process of trying to negotiate with some of the contractors,” said the UP official during the recent UAAP Talk show.
