NH lawmakers push for uncertified teachers in classrooms

New Hampshire lawmakers are considering legislation to allow part-time, uncertified teachers in the classroom. The bill would eliminate New Hampshire State Board of Education licensing requirements for any person working less than 30 hours a week, who can also pass a criminal-background check. Report touts Illinois support for public schools / Public News Service

A report released this month by the Network for Public Education ranked Illinois an "A" grade for its overall support of public schools. One organization gives credit to state legislators who worked to end the state s "Invest in Kids" voucher program.
