Francis Sackilla Nyumalin, Lofa County District #1 Representative, has vowed to institute an impeachment bill against Associate Justice Joseph Nagbe for what he (Nyumalin) calls “Acting against the decision of the full bench of the Supreme Court.”
In a lengthy phone-in radio interview with ELBC on May 5, 2021, Rep. Nyumalin said any action that prevents or nullifies the certification of Lofa County Senator-elect, Samukai, is unconstitutional and as such, it should be treated with firm and uncompromising actions.
Speaking from Foya, his electoral district, Nyumalin said, “For tampering with the Supreme Court’s mandate, he should be impeached. There is no way the Supreme Court or any other court in this country will sentence someone twice. No court, not even the Supreme Court manufactures laws. We make the laws and the judiciary interprets.” ....
