The charges stem from years of failing to File Campaign finance reports falsifying documents to cover his tracks, and lavishly spending public money on a county credit card. The District Attorney says he wants to see shirakawa punished by spending up to a year in jail. What is important to me in this case is that he step downright away, that he plead guilty to the charges, that he pay all the money back and that spend some time behind bars. Its official. President obama signing an order authorizing the government to begin cutting 85 billion dollars from the federal budget. The move comes after the president and congress failed to avoid the steep, oneyear cuts. President obama insists on replacing the cuts with tax increases and cuts spread out over time. But he says republicans are rejecting any plans that includes tax revenue. And the mayors statement went on a i urge congress to were with the present. Cuts will also trim Government Spending on defense contracts and in domestic government programs. Still ahead, well have the republican response to the forced spending cuts. City police tried to make a felony stop on a stolen car with two men inside. That car sped off leading officers on a pursuit. Eventually the driver and passenger bailed out of the car in San Francisco and thats when police shot one of the men several times. Killing him. It is unclear if that was the passenger or the driver. Police are not saying at this point whether the man who was shot had a weapon. Can you tell me if the person who was killed was armed . I cant say exactly if that person was armed or not. Just too early in the investigation. Too early in the investigation to say exactly what happened. Now, the second man who was inside that car was taken into custody by police. No officers were shot during all of this. But at least one officer did sustain some minor injuries. In fact the car that the two men were inside actually rolled into a police car.
