A LORRY driver had to be cut out of his HGV after an accident on the A595. The driver, a man in his 40 s, suffered back injuries in the crash and on Foxfield Road, Broughton shortly after 6.42am today. Firefighters from Broughton, Millom and Barrow were called the the scene after the lorry overturned and skidded down a bank. A spokesman from Broughton Fire Station said: It was a delicate rescue operation. The lorry had overturned near to Foxfield Garden Centre and skidded down a bank. The driver, a man in his 40 s suffered back injuries and was trapped. No other vehicle was involved. ....
