Two Fort Qu’Appelle residents charged in connection with the alleged trafficking of prescription drugs, were back in court yesterday. The preliminary hearings for 67-year-old Chester Arnold and 56-year-old Vera Ryder were adjourned to October 13th, in Fort Qu’Appelle Provincial Court. Arnold and Ryder were two of five people arrested in February, after a month-long investigation led to the seizure of opioids, cash and cell phones. Three of the adults were later released without charges.
