JUPITER ISLAND Former County Commissioner Anne Scott, who was once engrossed in an email scandal that cost Martin County millions, is attempting a comeback in public office, and is focused on what’s ahead of her, not behind.
The one-term county commissioner and six-year Jupiter Island town commissioner is challenging Mayor Whitney Pidot, for a two-year Town Commission seat in Tuesday s nonpartisan municipal election.
Jupiter Island has 711 registered voters.
Citing frustration with “heavy-handed” leadership of her town’s government, Scott is making her first bid for public office since losing her Martin County Commission seat by 20 percentage points five years ago.

Before opportunities of simulated flight offered by modern computer games, few children had the opportunity to fulfill the childhood dream of flying. Most kids had to imagine looking over a crowded instrument panel, and could only dream of peering through the blades of a propeller.
